The Best Disease Resistant Carrots

Today We are going to Prepare the ground ready to plant, The Best Disease Resistant Top Weight Carrots, which are a disease resistant Carrot with long stems and thick Tubers, ideal for eating cooked, or Baked, or put into stews, casseroles, almost any way you want them, and are some times very difficult to grow, but with care and good management from us Gardeners, we can help you become a very successful at it.
Also before we plant the seeds we need to dig the soils over which have been laying idol over winter months with rotting Organic and Animal Manure,  in which has been dug into the soil during the  Autumn, and allowed to break down, now is the time to churn it all up and bring it into a nice workable bed for these baby seeds to be laid to rest to allow to germinate, and shoot through top of the ground, and then you know you have succeeded in your quest to grow them.

First we dig the soil get all the weeds out and feel that nice workable soil in your hands, its no good working in the garden if the soil is too wet and gooey, to work as it only sticks to your hands and makes a mess of your clothes and Boots; So always wait till soil is drying out, and is warming up as if you plant seeds in wet soggy cold soil they will rot and disappoint you, even discourage you from replanting so be a patient gardener and wait for the right time and surprise not only yourself but other in the family.

Ok now we have dug it over and removed all the weeds now its time, to rake it to make it nice and smooth not to many lumps of soil but nice ever pliable easy to handle, and a good way to know if its ready to plant seeds in is if when you get a hand full and squeeze your hand, and it doesn't stick in a big clump; but will release, easy good .

Next we now measure out the rows we can get per bed , but before that make up your mind what kind of bed you want to use , meaning do you want raised beds meaning a hump in the middle to allow water to drain off when rains, or do you want, a flat bed, my own general purpose is for a raised bed to allow water to drain away easy when it rains, then your seeds will not get d round, in water.

Ok next we measure our rows out to about 12 inches apart giving plenty of room to be cultivated between the rows and also feeding organic Waste from cages every 7 days for quick growth, a free growing Carrot, that healthy will taste much better when eaten. And a faster growing vegetable looks better seeing gardens flourishing gives the gardener something to poke his chest out and be happy his plants have responded to his help.

So now its time to start planting, and see if we are as good as we plan to be, and if you are then people will want to ask you questions, and know you will be able to let them know the answers, because you have done it by experiences, and by teaching them like this and keeping it updated every day, and if you require an email each week with tips and tricks to making your garden better then I'm happy to give them to you.

Now we have opened the rows up and planted the seeds into each row, don't plant the seeds to thick because that a waste, meaning when seeds all come through the soil after about between 14 and 21 days, and grow to about 2 centimeter high you then have to thin them out as to allow stronger ones to grow so how I sow them is sparingly and thin you usually have about 2000 seeds per packet,The Best Carrots you can grow, disease free. so keep weeding and Planting, till next time from Gazza, you be blessed

Eating Raw To Health

Today, is a new day; to start a new way of Eating,Raw To Health: both for life and growing, Because our lives change so rapidly both in our Eating and health, I know my own health has changed a lot since we last chatted on here, as now I'm fighting an over weight battle, that has to be won and the only way for that to happen is for some Eating and Diet changes.

Now we have all heard all about this diet, and that diet, more calories, more fats, this is good that is good, but hang on a minute, for who's benefit, this is my life that is dependent on this life change not theirs, So it will be my way of putting together my own Diet, my own way That is why it will be Eating Raw To Health.

I Started on this new plan only this week, and think I could really fit into this way of living, because Its not all out and in with the new, this would be crazy, and could be why so many people are diet crashers, because they go to extremes, with a new thing, and do it all at once, No its a steady way to do it and keep at it, and every week take two items out of your new diet and replace it with two items of the new.

So to Eat Raw To Health, do it slowly, is my plan, My aim is to remove 2 Pounds per week, and keep it off, because when we Eat Right Pray Right, we will Live Right, and become more happy in life, and feel better because we are Eating what God put on the Earth to eat, and keep healthy, so I'm inviting you on my Journey with me to a better Life and a better Future, God bless You.

Garden Cleaning ready for Winter Planting.

Hi and welcome, to another Post, on this review Garden Blog, as all gardeners know there are plenty, of things that have to be done around the Garden, during every season no matter if it be Summer, Spring, Autumn or Winter as they all Play their part.

keeping the Mulch up and watering when needed, to keep plants and seeds growing , and as many know I breed meat Rabbits, and use all their Manure for mulching and spreading over the beds and digging it into the soil, which gives it a true Ballance of all needed minerals and  fertilisers, also it has much Nitrigen, from the wee wee, called Rabbit tea.

This week we havested Lettuces, and Red Beets, plus some New Potatoes, for Christmas Dinner, this Morning I'm cooking a nice big Chicken to have with some nice fresh harvested Vegetables, like Carrots, broad beans, Potatoes, some green feast peas, so tea will be nice tonight.

And about 6.00.pm this evening I will go and water all the other growing Vegetables, that have been Planted, getting them ready for harvesting for later in the Summer, as we do like to try and give certain area's of the Garden a rest each year, as so as not to over use the minerals in the soil, and also to feed them with mulch and let it all rot down into it to also feed the worms which help to keep the Soil Air Rated, and thriving.

Its my Opinion that Soil is like we are if we get burnt out we get sick, and so this can happen to our soils, if there are dug and cropped every year to thje full, with no let up; it can break down, plus then you get sickly growing Plants, which do not give their full Cupassety, of growth, during that growing Season, so I like to crop, certain parts of my Garden, for no more than three years in a row with out let up.

So I'll stop planting that section, of my Garden after the third year, then I'll screen it with Chook wire and put a small chook house on it plus the yard and let the chickens, in on it and they can scratch and feed on all the  grubs, snails,  insects, and all the weed roots, for about 6 weeks, then move them onto the next area, and then where I just moved them from, I will rotryhoe, it all over and smooth it back into a bed again.

Then I'll sow some kind of green stuff like Oats, Wheat, or Barley, then when its about 12 inches or more high, I'll cut it for the sheep or RABBITS,
then let it regrow to about half the size, as before then Dig it into the Soil, and water it down, and leave it to rot into the SOIL before digging that area over to get ready for Planting.

By doing this with your Garden, it shows you care about the grouth, which also kills any bad weeds from the Soil, and breaks up the under grouth, of the earth making the Soil more sweeter for the new plants, when planted, also you will notice a new bird life will return to the area, as we used to love seeing the blue wrens around, they all of a sudden went missing, and when we changed the Soil by replacing the Soil and mulching, by giving the area a rest; let me tell you a short story about this and how nature spoke to me in a very clear way.

I was visiting a friend also a keen gardener, and he used to have all these beautiful birds coming around in his Garden , now his Wife went to a lot of trouble to make it nice for them all she put a bird bath in their front Garden, also a bird drinking fountain, where they could get clean fresh water when it was hot in summer, So one night they rang me and asked me if my Wife and I would love to come for Sunday Lunch, in which we excepted, and on arriving, John's Wife said we invited you here to not only have Lunch with us but to try and see if you could find out what we were doing wrong to force all the wild Birds and Ducks from our Garden.

Well after Lunch and we were sitting out in the shade of the Vegetable Garden, I could smell something strong and Mouldy, and asked them what it was they said we can't smell it but my Wife could as well as me,so I asked John and Amanda, when was the last time they gave their Garden a rest from Planting, and mulched it with a green planting like Barley, Oats, Wheat,, never they said, its sounds like a lot of work.

So I took the initiative, and took his Garden fork, and dug out a bit of the soil in his Vegie Patch , and to their Horrific SURPRIZE was all this white and dark grey, little bulb like clumps in the Soil, and when they smelt them it was Putrid, and then I told them thats why the Bird life has left, just like it did in my own Garden, and I told them the answer to it, and what I did to rectify the Problem.

So they got some Chicken's and did just like me only they dug it all up first to expose all those little grey Bulb type things and let the chickens clean the soil, then removed them to the flower garden square Metre at a time, then their Birds returned, plus some knew ones like the blue wren families, so that was my Lesson by Nature, isn't it good when we will listen to her. send a comment if you have one thanks for your time to check out my Gardening review blog with Gazza.
